Adapted from Dylan Thomas’ much-loved poem with 23 named characters. Opportunities for ‘doubling’ means performances are possible with as few as 8 actors.
Charming reminiscing from Old Dylan and childhood friend, Old Jim who share memories of earlier Christmases together in their Welsh village. It snowed. It always snowed. There was fire with firemen, arrival of morning postmen, the opening of presents, village characters, arrival of Aunts and Uncles for Christmas dinner, singing songs in the Parlour. A warm and festive remembering of Christmas’s past combining Thomas’s lyrical descriptions with fast-paced, exciting dramatisation for the stage.
In One Act, lasting 50-60 minutes.
